Being SMS Addicted:

(This comes straight from the heart of an SMS Addict.., read it to know how it can be, to be one.
Now whether the addiction is with the act of messaging, or with the person at the other end is something for you to imagine ;) suit yourself.

This is what an SMS addict has to say….,
“waiting for your one message is as good as…,
Students awaiting Vacations…,

Employees stretching their limits, in the hope of coming weekend..,

Readers.., reading in anticipation of finally reaching a great climax.

Farmers praying for the rains…,

Managers waiting for yet another promotion..,

Audiences looking forward to watching a good, meaningful movie…,

A Saint struggling to meet God…,

Working parents longing to reach home to be with their kids..,

Judges working hard knowing that the Month of May would be great to relax..,

And also like..,
A bee lingering around a flower...”

It is surprising how the theory of relativity comes in.., everywhere.

[WARNING: ADDICTION OF ANY SORT IS INJURIOUS]
For the rest who claim to be a non- SMS addict…, ENJOYING messaging.. ;)

BEST FORTUNE MAKERS

Written by: ketaki Joshi.
I pity those who suffer from short term memory loss. Almost all do! ALMOST ALL!
People get up in the morning, not knowing what all they saw, experienced in the last 6- 8 hours of their sleep. People dream and forget. How can you allow your time to just drift away, being absolutely oblivious of what your mind was up-to? Don’t you feel like losing yourself for some time?

Your body sleeps, and the only thing that is working, full fledged even then, is your sub conscious mind. I believe mind never sleeps. It works at its best, when the body is resting. When you think with your open eyes it is called pondering, but the same is termed dreaming when asleep. Dreaming is nothing but thinking and so it is of such great importance.

Have you ever tried remembering what you have dreamt last night? Try doing that. May be your dreams might just prove to be the best fortune tellers. What dream you see in the day time is your ambition. What you dream when you are completely asleep is a hint, a hint to what’s for you in future. Most miss out on such hints as they are just so ignorant about it.

For those who don’t believe in this, please don’t read further, cause it probably won’t work for you. It has helped only those who have never doubted the strength of an intuitive mind. You don’t really need an intuitive mind yourself. Very few are lucky to be born with it. However, you surely can develop one. All that you need is to have faith in yourself, and for that faith you need to be acquainted with every corner of your mind, with every minute that you live. You cannot really claim to be well connected with yourself, if you fail to keep a track of those 6- 8 hours. It is a pretty long duration, enough to keep you unaware of your own self.

What you need to do is start talking to yourself. Argue, Counter-argue with your mind over anything and everything. Doesn’t matter even if it is silly. It shall help. A lot of times your body ( that is your brain, conscious mind), and your soul ( that is your sub conscious mind), acts contrary to one another, like two completely different individuals might. That is a sign of a weak mind. It is fine if thinking is contrary initially. It will help you know both sides of the pond.

But actions speak, and they speak aloud.
For the best results it is of utmost importance that the conscious and sub conscious minds are in complete sync with each other, which is hardest to attain but once attained, the combination is dangerously powerful. Start making an effort to recall, where your mind took you, when your body was as good as dead. It might turn out to be a worth cherishing experience. One day, you might just get tuned to the idea and might remember just a part of it, gradually progressing to the entire of it. Keep stretching and forcing your mind to reveal the dark secrets.! The truth! Have the courage to face it. They are YOUR thoughts and they can’t run away from you.

At a slightly later stage, start analyzing what you dream, and why you dream that way. Start linking it to the life that you live when you are awake. If you see no link at all, try concluding how different your dreams can be from the real you. You might just realize how extensive and creative you can think. It needs a great mind to think something entirely new and different. Whatever it is, just be aware of it. Channelize that time and nurture those thoughts. Dreams are constantly talking, trying to convey the hidden messages. Hear them. They are the best guides. Believe me!

Last stage is where you can control your dreams. You decide what to see, what not to. Yes of course you can attain that. I do it and thing happen just the way I choose to dream. Question yourself before sleeping! You will get an answer by morning. People who say, “I’ll sleep over the matter” and have exceeded in life, have probably literally slept over it and succeeded.! Use your dreams to make your fortune.

Deciding What is right and what is wrong.!!

Written by: ketaki Joshi.
A few days ago Tejas, a very dear friend of mine came up with this amazing topic and its so interesting and long, that we have decided to converse & discuss this topic in question through this medium, so here it is. A conversational blog! read->think->act.

TEJAS:

Let's start with the actual thought.
Here is something I always thought (a very foggy thought, indeed) & needed someone with the 'expertise' to clear it. it is about lawyers.
So, lemme shoot.
In a court (especially a criminal one)there are 2 sides. When everything is said and done and finally when the justice is served, one side is declared the winner/truthful/right/.!

My question starts here.

1) If one side (lawyer) is thought of as true, does this make the other one fasle/untruthful/less true?

2) Is there a concept of "more truth"? something like- lawyer A has points that are more true than the B fella?

3) Moreover, the witnesses from the 'losing team', are they lying? telling the half truth which is somehow 'lesser' than the other? does this not go against their "mein jo kuch kahunga-sach kahunga, sach ke siva kuch nahi kahunga"?

KETAKI:

Hey Tejas.! Thank you.! The questions that you have raised are very thought provoking indeed and has proved to be a good mind exercise for me.

Well.., Pick any Court and you will realize that every single Judicial System that you pick works MECHANICALLY. Nothing works on emotions. Thousands of people might have witnessed a murder, but the murderer will surely be set free, if none of the witnesses come up and speak the truth in the Court Of Law. If there aren’t ample evidences, mere knowing of the truth becomes inconspicuous.

What Courts emphasize on, are evidences. What else can a Court Of Law do?? A judge is expected not to be partial, not to have a personal say. The laws are above the judges and so the judges are ought to follow the procedures even if they personally disagree with it. Of course interpretation of law is essential. However no gut feelings or intuitions are allowed. What is admissible in a Court Of Law is an evidence, and nothing but an evidence. Now everybody knows how much of these evidences are really truthful. But to think of it, it is a very thoughtful procedure and probably the only procedure which is slightly near to giving justice. To some extent it eliminates the chances of the judges being biased. A judge can be biased but while passing a judgment his will and fancies will not be entertained. They are puppets, merely a medium of conveying what’s in store for the people around.

Long back, a Sessions Judge had seen a murder happening right before his eyes. It was almost like a nightmare and forgetting the murderer’s face was next to impossible for him. He knew some day the case would come in his Court Of Law and so decided to keep mum and deal with the murderer at the right time. Later the case did really come before him. Very strong evidences were brought against the accused. Such good and strong evidences, that the Judge had no choice but to hang him which is done in the rarest of rare cases.

The judge was hesitant and upset. There was no way in which he could have reduced the punishment. Frustrated he called for the accused to come and meet him, informally.
“I am innocent Sir and I don’t know how to prove it. Please believe me.” Plainly the judge replied, “I believe you, and you need to believe me that even I am merely doing my duty. I have evidences here which clearly show you are the murderer. Just a small little secret that I would like to share with you, I have seen the murder and I know as a matter of fact that you are in no way related to this case.

Now that I can’t help you in any way and that your death is inevitable, I want you to make one last single confession before your death. Have you ever done anything in your past, you think for which you are paying now? With tears rolling down his cheeks he opened up, “I had killed two people for which I was accused long back. But I had managed to get away with it as I was financially strong then. But here I don’t even know the person who has been killed.” I guess I am paying for my past deeds. There is no running away from it and I shall face it.”
Now weren’t the evidences fabricated? Wasn’t he innocent and completely right in this case? But still the punishment he got has been pending for ages and was not wrong. He confessed and that’s the sole reason this case goes justified. Not all confess...

At times it becomes very hard to say who is right and who is wrong.

One gets what one deserves. There are a lot of things happening around us that we fail to understand but they are correct in their own ways which we lack the vision to see. Such things are beyond our control. None of the Judicial Systems in the world are working Fool proof. There is a lot of corruption, a lot a politics, a lot of mistakes, but at the end the God is there to take care that injustice is never done.

Dealing with the 2nd point that u have raised, I guess all humans are at par and ur question stretched my mind to make me think that yes probably there is a concept of "more truth" something like- God has points that are more accurate than all, the lawyers, witnesses, judges and also the laws.
As for those who are really lying, aren't they digging holes for themselves, because God’s watching them too and they’ll be paying for it sooner or later..

What a “ROSE” means to me.. !!!!

Written by: ketaki Joshi.
As College students, we would celebrate the Rose day almost every year. Invariably every guy would carry five to six Roses with him and almost all gals would go back with at least two or three Roses in their bags, making “Rose Day” absolutely pathetic.

One evening I got a call from a dear friend of mine. It was pouring. The sound of rains subdued her voice. All that I could hear was “come over, be fast, I am waiting.”
45 minutes later, from the corner of her lane, I could see here waiting at the door. By the time I reached her gate I was drenched by the rain, which for some reason I wasn't enjoying. However, she hardly noticed me. She came out running near the gate and pointed towards her window. All that I could see, was a Rose.

“Did I come all the way just to see this???”

“ No sweetie, this Rose is not like the ones we get in college. It is very Special.! I will preserve it all my life. It means a lot to me.”

By then she was dripping wet, just the way I was. “ Ketaki, I love the rains, its been a beautiful day for me! Come in. I have more to show ya.

Haha.. :) The Rose indeed had made her day beautiful. Coming back home, trying to sleep, her voice echoed in my mind, “ It was the Perfect Proposal. There were Roses, there were chocolates, there was a small gift for me and my guy on his knees asking me to date him. It was all just so romantic.” Being one of the most unromantic creatures on this earth, I smiled as I wondered how typical all of this was and slept off.

Next morning I got up early, and the mind started working, right were it had stopped. “Roses really are so symbolic, so strong and subtle. For ages people have used Rose as a medium to convey love, care, respect."A decent number of relationships might have started with a Rose, would mine too??" With a lot of thoughts running at the background, I started getting ready for college. In class we were studying a theory where a wider concept could have been used, but a narrower one was chosen. On questioning my mam how come nobody ever realized this and challenged it, she said. “ the wider concept is very much right, but these are set laws coming straight from England. It’s been followed for ages and that is why you must follow it without questioning it. OR ELSE, you always have the choice to go fight yourself to change it the way you want.”

That night I dreamt of giving a Sunflower to my guy and telling him, “You’ve made my life as bright and beautiful as this little thing in my hand. Just like this flower lives looking at the Sun, I live looking at You honey.!” Yes ! Why Not? For me the flower doesn’t matter ! what matters is the thought behind it. What matters is the intention of do you really mean it. Matters like proposals, where you can be most innovative, why restrict yourself to set norms??
By the way, that friend of mine is happily dating, another guy. I wonder if she still has that Rose with her. I too have a rose, well preserved (physically and mentally) but it is dry and the colors have faded.

Yes, roses do mean a lot to me, and if they mean a lot to you, leave them where they are. They look most beautiful, romancing with the nature. Don’t kill them, to show your love to someone else. There can’t be anything romantic about it.
For me an ideal proposal would be just the two of us, without any gifts, incentives, or any other superficial attractions (rather distractions). Don’t create a romantic atmosphere to make me feel romantic, I may not. Be romantic from within, enlightening the atmosphere and that would be the perfect gift.
Lets see how much one can impress without the help of a Rose? Please Note: These thoughts are expressed by Ketaki Joshi, a resident of India, who loves blogging. Have a good day.!
