What will the society say??

Written by: ketaki Joshi.

If I marry at the age of twenty,
they’ll frown upon the idea of an early marriage.

If I do it at the age of forty,
they’ll blame me for being finicky.

If I marry sometime in between,
they’ll presume it is merely for the heck of getting married.

If it is the second or third marriage,
they’ll conclude I fear being on my own,

And what if I don’t marry at all??
Will they doubt my adjusting skills?

well,
They’ll talk of me, and they’ll talk of you,
They’ll talk, irrespective of what we do.
they’ll only stop when we want them to,
As they are none other than me & you!

  1. "Though thou be chaste as ice, and pure as snow/Thou shalt not escape calumny." People love to talk. Let them, and do as you please.

  2. Don’t seek other people’s approval to determine your own self worth. Isolate what is holding you back from living the life you want to live. Start thinking outside the box. Chart a course so you can live you want to live and begin your journey. Do not explain or justify your decisions to others. In matter of relationships, listen to your heart but also use your head.

  4. can't worry about what others will say/do. This is your life and as long as you are happy with the person YOU are, and treat others with respect, thats the best YOU can do.
I truly believe this. Take care
